Nichicon America Corporation is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Solaires Enterprises Inc., a leading innovator in photovoltaic (PV) technologies. This collaboration combines Nichicon’s cutting-edge Lithium Titanate-Oxide (LTO) battery, the SLB, with Solaires’ pioneering Perovskite PV technology to deliver more efficient and sustainable energy generation and storage solutions.
This partnership aims to develop a seamless system where ambient light captured using Solaires’ Perovskite PV technology, is stored in Nichicon’s highly reliable and fast-charging SLB batteries. We are working to integrate this into multiple applications, starting with indoor sensors. This synergy promises to significantly improve the energy output of photovoltaic solutions, offering extended storage capacity and faster recharge cycles. Together, we are addressing the growing demand for renewable energy in residential, commercial, and industrial markets. The SLB battery, known for its long life and rapid charging, is the ideal complement to Solaires’ photovoltaic energy advancements. With the ability to handle high power surges and extreme temperature conditions, the SLB ensures that the energy harvested from Perovskite solar cells is stored efficiently and used when needed most. Solaires addresses the need for providing green energy by converting ambient light to electricity using their PVModule. Solaires will start selling their product in large volume in 2025. In collaboration with Nichicon, Solaires aims to eliminate the need for single use batteries for indoor sensors and IoT devices.
